What is the cost of tutoring?
Banyan Tree charges $50/hour for individual tutoring, scheduled at least once each week. This fee includes my preparation time and an invitation for students to text in case of homework difficulty during the week.
Most tutoring will be $50/hour. If students have unique challenges that require more extensive preparation and research on my part, we can discuss a fair rate. Rates for group tutoring are dependent on the group and are advertised as groups are offered.
First, we would work together to investigate the cause of this "freezing", and yes, we can certainly work out proven strategies to help.
I think I understand what I'm doing, but I freeze on tests. Can you help?
At the present time, all students work directly with me. With administrative and professional connections, I am the sole individual and group tutor for Banyan Tree. This website often uses the word 'we', which refers to the fact that I can't do this on my own. I acknowledge and greatly appreciate many people's expertise and skills to achieve excellence in education.
Will I work with Michele or other tutors?
Banyan Tree is currently booking for Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 semesters, as well as beyond.
I switched to online tutoring online in 2020. I didn't plan to make this change ongoing, but I have found that I still have the same connection with students that I had when I met them in person. As well, I can easily send students notes and exercises after tutoring now.
I decided to continue tutoring online , as I know that I provide the same or higher level of tutoring as I did when working face-to-face.
